Day 3 of Fitness Challenge at Haridwar
On the third day of my fitness challenge I had to go to Haridwar as per a pre planned trip. Along with my fried I decided to have long walk in the morning along Holy river Ganges in Haridwar. As I was away from Delhi so could not stick to my plan of jogging for half an hour and decided to walk for more than one hour. I had enough exercise in the form of walking across the market and then to different temples in the Holy city to name a few Mansa Devi Temple at one hill along the Haridwar city and then Chandi Devi Mandir and Anjana Temple on the another hill across the river Ganga. One can go to these temples either via Udankhatola or via road walking / running as you feel comfortable.
Along the banks of Ganga there is footpath and one can jog / run / walk for kilometers side by side of Haridwar city. Good arrangements have been done by the city municipality and state government for the pilgrimage coming to Haridwar. I also enjoyed walking along the banks of Ganga to and from Har ki Pauri / Ghantaghar. I could not jog on third day but as per my challenge of exercise for half an hour everyday I Completed that in Haridwar too.
